branch at Tientsin was Ching Sik-kang, a Traitor of Han,
who was, in fact, an "executioner" in the employ of the
enemy. Since we decided to engage ourselves in weeding
the country of traitors, we considered that the duty, which
would be most fitting for us as (Chinese) citizens to strive
to perform, was to punish the said traitor of Han.
Consequently, beginning from February this year
we had been discussing plans secretly as regards how we
could obtain the necessary weapons, how we could recognize
the traitorous Ching Sik-kang and how we could take the
opportunity (if presented) and act. After considering our
plans very carefully we managed to purchase and obtain from
a Korean Ronin two revolvers of .38 calibre and 20 rounds
of ammunition for which we paid $200 puppet currency.
Having solved the problem of our weapons we proceeded
further and secretly tried to get to know Ching Sik-kang's
face. We often waited and kept watch in front of the
entrance to the puppet Federal Reserve Bank at North Maloo.
By this means we discovered that the number of traitor
Ching's motor car was 1657, and began to recognize his face.
Later we secretly got to know that the traitorous Ching was
fond of going to motion picture shows and frequently
visited the Ping On, Tai Kwong Ming and other cinema theatres.
Taking this as a clue, we thought the matter over with a
view to getting the traitorous Ching put to death so as to
appease our minds.
On Sunday April 9th this year the Tai Kwong Ming
Theatre was showing "Gunga Din", a well known picture. We
expected that the traitorous Ching would go to that show.
So we waited at the entrance. During the time for the 5
o'clock show we noticed his private car No.1657 parked on
the bund to the right of the theatre. We immediately went
home and after making preparations we bought our tickets
